KEKET™ EMUL P-300
Primary Emulsifier & Wetting Agent for Oil-Based and Synthetic-Based Drilling Fluids
FROM CHAOS TO CONTROL.
Product Overview
KEKET™ EMUL P-300 is an oil-soluble primary emulsifier and wetting agent intended for oil-based and synthetic-based drilling fluids. Its specified formulation consists of a modified fatty acid polyamide or amide blend.
The product is designed to support invert-emulsion stability under low-shear conditions. In addition, it is intended to improve the wetting of barite and drilled solids within non-aqueous drilling-fluid systems.
KEKET™ EMUL P-300 is intended for use with calcium chloride brines, sodium chloride brines, seawater and fresh water. However, compatibility and performance must be confirmed through laboratory testing.
The product specification includes performance requirements at temperatures up to 300°F (approximately 149°C). These are testing targets rather than verified field-performance claims.
Key Product Features
Primary Emulsification
KEKET™ EMUL P-300 is designed to support the formation and stability of invert emulsions. This function is important in oil-based and synthetic-based drilling-fluid systems.
Wetting Performance
The product is intended to promote oil-wetting of barite and drilled solids. As a result, it can support the development of suitable drilling-fluid formulations.
Brine Compatibility
The formulation targets compatibility with calcium chloride and sodium chloride brines. It is also intended for systems containing seawater or fresh water.
High-Temperature Testing
The product specification includes electrical stability, filtration and sag requirements at elevated temperatures. Therefore, the final formulation must demonstrate compliance under the agreed laboratory conditions.
Controlled Product Quality
KEKET™ EMUL P-300 has defined requirements for viscosity, specific gravity, flash point and acid number. Each supplied batch must meet the approved specification.
Industrial Applications
Oil-Based Drilling Fluids
KEKET™ EMUL P-300 is intended for use as a primary emulsifier in oil-based drilling-fluid formulations.
Synthetic-Based Drilling Fluids
The product can be evaluated for synthetic-based mud systems. Its suitability depends on the selected base oil, brine composition and other additives.
Invert-Emulsion Systems
The formulation is intended to support invert-emulsion stability, including under low-shear conditions.
Barite and Solids Wetting
The wetting function is intended to support the treatment of barite and drilled solids within suitable non-aqueous drilling fluids.

Technical Note: These values are specification targets pending laboratory verification. Test conditions, fluid formulation and acceptance methods must be agreed with the end-user laboratory. The pour-point acceptance tolerance also requires clarification.
Treatment and Compatibility
The recommended treatment rate must be determined through laboratory pilot testing. The appropriate dosage depends on the drilling-fluid formulation and operating conditions.
Before field use, operators must verify emulsion stability, rheology, filtration performance and sag behaviour.
Furthermore, compatibility with the base oil, internal brine and other drilling-fluid additives must be confirmed.
Packaging and Supply
KEKET™ EMUL P-300 is planned for presentation in 200 L industrial drums under the KEKET™ brand.
The existing technical specification identifies 55-gallon drums. Therefore, the final packaging configuration, filling volume and container compatibility must be confirmed before commercial supply.
Each drum will require suitable product identification, batch information, net contents and applicable hazard labelling.
Quality Assurance and Documentation
KEKET™ Industrial Chemicals focuses on documented technical requirements and product traceability.
Each supplied batch must undergo appropriate quality-control testing. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis will record the verified results.
Where required, representative samples will be submitted for customer evaluation before bulk acceptance.
The product must not be released until conformity with the approved specification has been demonstrated.
Storage and Handling
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area.
Store the product away from ignition sources, strong oxidisers and incompatible materials. In addition, protect containers against damage and contamination.
Personnel must follow the applicable Safety Data Sheet and workplace safety procedures.
Storage temperature limits and shelf life will be confirmed for the final formulation.
