KEKET™ EMUL P-350 Combined Emulsifier

KEKET EMUL C-350 combined primary and secondary emulsifier with wetting action, 200 L industrial drumKEKET EMUL C-350 – Combined Primary & Secondary Emulsifier

Advanced Emulsification and Wetting Additive for Non-Aqueous Drilling Fluids

FROM CHAOS TO CONTROL.

Product Overview

KEKET EMUL C-350 is a combined primary and secondary emulsifier with wetting action. It is intended for non-aqueous drilling fluids containing a high proportion of internal brine.

The product is designed to support emulsification and wetting functions in suitable drilling-fluid formulations. In addition, it has an intended operating-performance target of up to 350°F (approximately 177°C).

KEKET EMUL C-350 is intended for use in drilling-fluid systems where controlled emulsification and high-temperature performance are important. However, its suitability must be confirmed through laboratory testing.

The product specification includes requirements for active content, viscosity, water content and acid number. Furthermore, it establishes limits for high-temperature static-sag testing.

KEKET EMUL C-350 Key Features

Combined Emulsification Function

KEKET EMUL C-350 is designed to provide primary and secondary emulsification functions within a single additive.

This combined function is intended for non-aqueous drilling fluids containing significant internal brine. As a result, the product can be evaluated for formulations requiring both emulsification and wetting action.

Wetting Action

The product includes a wetting function for use in suitable drilling-fluid systems. This function must be assessed using the intended base oil, internal brine and weighting materials.

Elevated-Temperature Performance Targets

KEKET EMUL C-350 has an intended operating-performance target of up to 350°F (approximately 177°C).

The required laboratory testing includes a seven-day static-sag evaluation at 350°F. Therefore, actual performance must be verified before field use.

Oil-Based Solubility

The product specification requires solubility in diesel, mineral oil and synthetic base oils.

Consequently, the product can be evaluated for different non-aqueous drilling-fluid formulations. However, compatibility must be confirmed for each system.

Defined Active Content

The required active content is at least 65%. In addition, the specification includes limits for water content, viscosity and other physical properties.

These requirements provide measurable targets for laboratory quality verification.

KEKET EMUL C-350 Industrial Applications

Non-Aqueous Drilling Fluids

KEKET EMUL C-350 is intended for non-aqueous drilling-fluid formulations requiring combined emulsification and wetting functions.

High Internal-Brine Systems

The product is designed for drilling-fluid systems containing a high proportion of internal brine. Therefore, it may be evaluated for demanding invert-emulsion formulations.

Oil-Based Mud Formulations

The required solubility in diesel and mineral oil supports evaluation in compatible oil-based drilling-fluid systems.

Synthetic-Based Drilling Fluids

KEKET EMUL C-350 is also intended for evaluation in compatible synthetic-based drilling fluids. However, the final formulation must undergo laboratory qualification.

Elevated-Temperature Drilling Applications

The product specification targets operating performance up to 350°F. Accordingly, it includes high-temperature sag requirements that must be demonstrated during testing.

Technical Note: These values represent contractual specification targets. They are not certified production-batch results. Laboratory verification is required before product release.

Treatment and Compatibility

The treatment rate for KEKET EMUL C-350 must be determined through pilot testing in the intended drilling-fluid system.

The appropriate dosage depends on the base oil, internal brine, weighting materials and other additives. Therefore, no universal treatment rate is specified.

Before field use, operators must verify emulsion stability, rheology, filtration and sag behaviour.

In addition, the laboratory test programme must establish the required fluid formulation, testing conditions and acceptance methods.

Packaging and Supply

KEKET EMUL C-350 is planned for presentation in 200 L industrial drums featuring the official KEKET™ branding.

The current technical data sheet specifies 55-gallon drums. Therefore, the 200 L packaging arrangement, filling volume and drum compatibility must be confirmed before commercial supply.

Each drum will require clear product identification, batch number, net contents and applicable hazard labelling.

Quality Assurance and Documentation

KEKET™ Industrial Chemicals focuses on documented product specifications and quality verification.

Each supplied batch of KEKET EMUL C-350 must undergo appropriate laboratory testing. Furthermore, a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis must record the measured results.

Where customer qualification is required, representative samples and supporting technical documents must be submitted before bulk acceptance.

Product release is subject to demonstrated compliance with the approved specification and any required sample evaluation.

Storage and Handling

Store KEKET EMUL C-350 in tightly closed, compatible containers.

Keep the product in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. In addition, protect the containers from damage, contamination and unnecessary heat.

Store away from ignition sources, strong oxidisers and incompatible materials.

Personnel must follow the current KEKET Safety Data Sheet and applicable workplace safety procedures.

The final storage temperature requirements and shelf life must be confirmed for the approved formulation.
