KEKET™ Multifunctional Drilling Fluid Additive
Amine-Based Corrosion Inhibitor for Water-Based Drilling Fluids
FROM CHAOS TO CONTROL.
Product Overview
KEKET drilling fluid additive is intended as an amine-based, water-soluble corrosion inhibitor for water-based drilling-fluid systems. Its required application is to control general and pitting corrosion associated with oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.
The product has an intended temperature-performance target of up to 250°F, approximately 121°C. Suitability must be demonstrated through laboratory testing in the proposed drilling-fluid or brine system.
Offered under TSH Tech LLC, KEKET™ Multifunctional Drilling Fluid Additive is evaluated against defined physical properties, compatibility requirements and corrosion-performance limits. These requirements establish the basis for product qualification and commercial acceptance.
KEKET Drilling Fluid Additive Features
Corrosion-Inhibition Application
The product is intended to control general and pitting corrosion in water-based drilling-fluid systems. Qualification testing must demonstrate the required corrosion-inhibition performance under the specified conditions.
Water Miscibility
The required specification calls for complete miscibility in water. This property supports its intended application in compatible water-based formulations.
Brine Compatibility
The product must be miscible at a concentration of 10% by volume in sodium chloride and calcium chloride solutions. Compatibility must also be evaluated in the intended working-fluid formulation.
Elevated-Temperature Performance
The intended performance target extends to 250°F, approximately 121°C. The specified corrosion tests assess performance over 14 days at this temperature.
Measurable Quality Requirements
Defined limits for appearance, specific gravity, pH and flash point provide the basis for physical-property verification. Separate corrosion tests establish the required performance in three brine systems.
Industrial Applications
Water-Based Drilling Fluids
KEKET drilling fluid additive is intended for evaluation in water-based drilling-fluid systems requiring corrosion inhibition.
Sodium Chloride Brines
The required test programme includes corrosion-performance evaluation in 10 ppg sodium chloride brine.
Calcium Chloride Brines
The required test programme includes corrosion-performance evaluation in 11.4 ppg calcium chloride brine.
Calcium Chloride and Calcium Bromide Blends
The product must also meet the specified corrosion-performance limit in a 13 ppg calcium chloride/calcium bromide brine blend.

MPY: Mils per year.
Technical Note: These values represent required specification targets. They are not certified production-batch results. Laboratory verification is required before product release. The laboratory test procedure must define the “200 psi OB” condition stated in the source specification.
Treatment and Compatibility
The field treatment rate must be determined through laboratory testing in the intended fluid system. The appropriate dosage depends on the fluid composition, operating conditions and corrosion-control requirements.
The specified 1% by-volume concentration applies to the corrosion-performance tests. It does not establish a universal field treatment rate.
Before use, evaluate compatibility with the base fluid, dissolved salts and other additives. Testing should also assess any effect on the drilling fluid’s required operating properties.
Packaging and Supply
The required packaging format is a 55-gallon industrial drum.
Final filling volume, drum material and container compatibility must be confirmed before commercial supply. Each drum must carry clear product identification, batch number, net contents and applicable hazard labelling.
Order quantities, delivery arrangements and commercial terms are confirmed at quotation stage.
Quality Assurance and Documentation
KEKET drilling fluid additive qualification is based on the defined technical specification and supporting laboratory evidence.
Physical-property testing must verify the required appearance, specific gravity, pH, flash point and miscibility. Performance testing must demonstrate the specified corrosion-rate limits in the three required brine systems.
A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis must record the agreed measured properties. The Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet must correspond to the formulation supplied.
Where customer qualification is required, representative samples and supporting documents must be submitted for evaluation before bulk acceptance.
Storage and Handling
Follow the current product Safety Data Sheet for storage conditions, handling precautions, personal protective equipment and emergency procedures.
Keep containers securely closed and protect them from damage and contamination. Storage temperatures, incompatible materials and shelf life must be confirmed for the approved formulation.
